- electricians and plasterers due to strains caused by lots of overhead work;
- people returning to the gym wanting relief from muscular tightness, aches and pains
- those needing relief from pain or tension
- people with Dupuytren's contracture/nodules.
My name is Stephen Jeffrey. I am passionate about how massage therapy can positively affect the human body, release pain, tension and injuries, and the effect of massage on re-mapping the brain muscle connection.
I obtained my diploma in sports massage therapy in 1997 at St Mary's University College in Twickenham. In 1998 I began my career at Thames Valley Harriers athletics club treating runners suffering from muscle tears, scar tissue and shin splints. From 1999 to 2002 I worked from Holmes Place Gym's Ealing clinic, working closely with 2 osteopaths specializing in rehabilitation of chronic muscle skeletal back, neck and shoulder problems.
From 2003 to present day I have been in private practice. I continue to study anatomy and have developed my professional skills by taking many courses, including Myofascial release, kinesio taping, deep tissue massage and rehabilitation techniques combined with Trigger Point Therapy. This has offered my clients many solutions to acute and chronic pain conditions that had not responded to other treatments.
I have received the latest training in Fascia research with Robert Schleip, Leon Chaitow and Jean Claude Guimberteau at the Ulm University in Germany.
I am constantly updating my knowledge and sharing information with fellow therapists here in the UK, USA and Canada.
